Using crocheting as my voice to tell a tale, I recruited my crocheted friends, watercolor markers, camera, and stylus to create a children's story with the hope that my readers would experience both the light, adorable critter illustrations and the deep message about learning to let go - a very personal theme.

Vio the bumble bee is based on me. But instead of being gifted with purple wings, I was gifted with the talent of running. With this story, I want to remind my audience, as well as myself, that change is natural and all versions of ourselves deserve to be loved.
